We are a women led and minority owned mobile coffee bar. We strive to brew, inspire, & impact as a heart lead business.

La Morena Coffee Bar honors and attracts both music + coffee lovers alike by creating a unique urban culture driven by community and service. We strive to serve the coldest Nitro and Coldbrew in HTX with our small batch roasted specialty beans. Don’t worry we have you non-coffee drinkers covered with our special sweet tea we call “Drip”. We are a black owned, woman led, community inspired company. We thrive by music and the culture of eclectic coffee shops. La Morena was originally created to be a hip hop coffee shop but we would be remissed by not playing some good ole Earth, Wind, & Fire or Whitney Houston among other greats who contributed to the vibe we want to create for our coffee loving patrons. We hope you enjoy our playlist and live music performances. Let’s be friends and allow us to be your go to from beats to beans (coffee beans that is :)

Meet the Owner

Tamra Bevill affectionately dubbed “Takeoff Tami” is a well traveled foodie who loves visiting coffee shops across the United States as a former flight attendant. She has gained a love for both coffee, music and traveling through her career. Her love for coffee begin when she used to make coffee for her great-grandmother and grandma when she was a child. Coffee ice cream quickly became her favorite dessert choice and comfort food.

Takeoff’s career took her down the path of being an avid coffee drinker for long days of flying and she made it her mission to visit eclectic neighborhood coffee shops whenever she

touched down for a layover.

Tami brings her background of 15 years education and social work giving her a strong sense of community and connecting with people. By working with such diverse populations she is equipped to serve patrons from all walks of life and she makes it her mission to lead with a heart of service .

Please know we have meticulously searched far & wide for female and minority owned vendors who we can partner with to bring you quality items featured on our menu.

We have partnered with “Woodstock Coffee Co.” as our main supplier of coffee and espresso not only for their superior quality but also because their mission aligns with ours to provide “diversity, quality, heart-driven service”, while sourcing and micro-roasting select small batches from around the world. Woodstock Coffee Co. Roasters strives for sustainability and are coffee enthusiast which make them an easy choice to partner with at La Morena.

We aspire to serve delicious coffee, expresso drinks, tea, and pastries from woman owned vendors (where possible) and provide a platform for DJ's, Musicians, singers, & artists in an urban setting frequented by music & coffee lovers alike. Our customer base is diverse and ageless bound together by the love of music & coffee.
